Converting Bolt Rifles to Boltguns? Chaos Primaris Help

Does anyone know what the best way to do this is? 

 

I want to use the Primaris range and various chaos bits to convert my chaos army, would it be easier to use regular marine arms with primaris bodies?

I think the only thing you'd really need to do is shave the scope off. Other than that, if your using Chaos heads, shoulder pads and assorted bitz, it should be obvious to any but the most thickheaded that what you have is a truescale Adeptus Hereticus Marine ;)

Ooooh the bolt carbines idea is perfect. I cut the foregrip off and bam, boltgun. I plan on converting the Reivers into Berserkers, so I wont need those carbines anyway!

they are pretty easy to cut down in length along the line at the front of the foregrip, its what iam doing myself, only thing is that you then need to attach a new barrel, little nubbin above it and bar below, i used some tiny peices of plastic card for this, but it should also be easy enough to use what you cut off.

alternatively, you can just use normal (chaos) bolters, just cut the bolt rifle off of the right primaris hand and replace the left hand supporting it with a normal bolter-supporting one, and then you can put a normal bolter on there as usual

I just took a look at the hellblasters sprue online and the guns aren't attached to the arms for them, so I might be able to position the hellblaster arms to hold various regular marine weapons. Much cleaner than cutting the hands off the intercessors.

Normal marine arms work on Intercessors; using CSM arms should work, abd would help Chaos-ify them
