Crazy Jay
Looking through the qualities, I just don’t see anything that makes taking a burden worth it. Am I missing something here? Tokugawa
If you take a full-melee Gallant, the burdens about shooting would do no harm. The real problem may be: the adavantage part is not good enough. Karhedron
The bif thing to remember is that the Burdens only a apply on a failed Ld test. That means that in most games, you will probably only be affected by your burden for 1 turn on average. The Quality is in play all the time. A Gallant with Legendary Hero is pretty nice. Then take Obsessed With Vengeance and Impetuous Nature you are good to go. Each turn you have a 1-in-6 chance that you can only fire your Heavy Stubber at the nearest target and you have to move closer to the enemy. Not much of a hardship for a free reroll every battle round. Vel'Cona
And OFC you have to weigh this against the various Knightly Houses and their benefits, assuming you will be going that direction with your army build. But as Karhedronuk said, careful Burden management is totally possible with a dedicated Knight platform.
