STTAB
Fine tuning a 1k BA list. It would be really useful for some of my units to leave unwanted combat and charge a preferred target. Does Upon Wings of Fire slow this? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349128-quick-question-can-uwof-be-used-to-leave-combat/ Share on other sites
Morticon
Wings of fire is good to go for this, and will not count as a fall back! BluejayJunior
There is an FAQ that specifically says that using things like Upon Wings of Fire do not count as falling back. I don't remember where, but it has been confirmed if anyone tries to challenge it. STTAB
Source would be good. I'll have a rumage through the FAQs On the 1k level I am heavy on sanguinary guard. I can see a big weakness in them getting trapped in combat with something low value. STTAB
From Warhammer community page "Upon Wings of Fire is a great way to grab an objective at the last minute, pull an at-risk squad out of combat or get a particularly deadly unit into position for a devastating charge." Then in an FAQ it says; "Q: If a unit uses a rule that removes them from the battlefield and then sets them up again, such as the Teleport Homer ability or the Gate of Infinity psychic power, does that unit count as having moved for the purposes of moving and firing Heavy weapons? A: Yes. Treat such units as if they are arriving on the battlefield as reinforcements." So no problem to leave combat using UWoF then charge after.
