Trevak Dal
Gws or Army Painter's? Or maybe something off the rack at Walmart? I typically use Rust-Oleum automotive primer that's a dark gray mostly, but I want to do my GKs in Silver. Biscuittzz
I don't know how available it is in the states, but I use Army Painter Platemail. So far it is by far my favourite primer/basecoat and basecoat straight away with it without priming with black. I've also used GWs Leadbelcher spray and Army Painter's Gunmetal. I've found Gunmetal to be ever so slightly darker than Leadbelcher. Then again you can always Spray it Platemail and bring it back down with Nuln oil to get roughly the same dull effect. Really depends on what type of look you are going for i.e. a dulled scheme or a shining silver like scheme. I went for the Platemail followed by a drakenhof nightshade wash all over, with another layering of Guilliman glaze on the armour plates while leaving the nightshade in the recesses to really give a blue steel effect. I love it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349136-hey-fellas-whats-the-better-silver-primer/#findComment-5131416 Share on other sites
Sviar
@ Biscuittzz If it isn't too much hassle would you mind posting a picture of one of your model?
