Battlescribe Forcing Two Weapons?

I played my first game last night with my Deathwatch. I went up against Harlequins where my opponent decided to bring five Fusion Pistols per squad and none of my Storm Shields are painted yet. It was...messy. :biggrin.:

Anyway, whilst building my squads I noticed something odd about how Battlescribe is doing our wargear for Veterans. If I take just a Boltgun and use the option near the top, it seems happy. But if I take a two-handed weapon (from the one choice list) like a shotgun or flamer it insists I take a one-handed weapon (from the two choice list) as well. Are you actually required to take them or is this a bug?

Example: I wanted just a Deathwatch Shotgun. But Battlescribe kept giving errors saying they don't have enough weapon options so I slapped a Chainsword on as they are free just to shut it up, even though it isn't on the model.

I don’t think anybody minds if a zero pt weapon isn’t represented as long as it is legal wargear and on a list somewhere. I think in third or fourth edition there was a rule that stated wysiwyg wasn’t required on something that cost 2 pts or less. So you didn’t have to model pistols and grenades.
Damn that's a pain, mine are from 7th and already painted before the new armory came out. Challenge accepted though, I scratch-built some holsters from spare pouches and lasgun handles. I'll stick them on the painted models with superglue very carefully (are will plastic glue be better over paint?). Two of the models from my five man sniper team already have a sword for aesthetics so I'll use those as chainswords.
