Indefragable Posted August 1, 2018 Share Posted August 1, 2018 Hey all, Slowly turning my brain back to the undying robots. What are the "best" loadouts for Tomb Blades in your experiences? It seems that for 3pts Shieldvanes (getting them 3+ armor) is well worth it. For another 5pts the Shadowloom gets you a 5++ on top of that. So for 8pts you are really increasing the survivability, especially when backed by both the inherent -1 To Hit and Reanimation Protocols. Is 40pts/model worth it for M14" BS3+ T5 2W 3+/5++ w/ Gauss Blasters? I plan on running Mephrit so the Gauss is my preferred weapon and the extra AP-1 helps negate the need for a Nebuloscope. If you only give them shieldvanes, they are roughly the same cost as Immortals for about the same stat line but Blades are by default more tenacious with Hard to Hit. I like Gauss or Tesla on them (for Mephrit). They're fast enough to get in half range enough that Tesla is pretty worthwhile. Ap3 on Gauss is overkill a lot of the time in my meta but depends who I'm playing. Bonzi Posted August 1, 2018 Share Posted August 1, 2018 Shieldvanes only. Reanimation protocols are the answer to weapons with higher strength and rend. I love Gauss blasters with mephrit on mine. I use them as elite troop hunters because they have the speed, weapon ST and AP to deal with such troops and the fly keyword gaurantees that they can't be bogged down in close combat unlike Immortals.
