Consolodate Squads question

I have recently started playing again after missing all of 7th edition.  I have a quick question I could not find an answer to.

 

If I have 3 squads, Alpha, Baker and Charlie, all lined up in a row, can I use the stratigum to join Alpha to Baker and then immediately pay the CP to use it again and join Charlie to the newly created Alpha/Baker?

Not in matched play. There is a limit of using a stratagem once per phase.

Yes you can, however as mertbl pointed out Match Play restrictions limit 1 stratagem per phase

 

So if playing Matched Play that would take you 2 turns to do that

On that note you may not want to blob up too much, as the more casualties you take the rougher any failed leadership test will be

Consolidate squads is best used to rescue orphaned sergeants.

Or to save that lone heavy weapons team.

Aside from morale issues you can max buffs e.g. less orders and more models affected by psychic powers and strats
