Trantula Sentry Guns?

Does anyone have any experience using these? I have a few of these models laying about and I was thinking of using these to somewhat prevent some Deep Striking behind me. It was just a food for thought given  the Twin Heavy Bolter guns come to a cheap price for being immobile.

I've used them this edition. One of their main problems for me is that they can't go on buildings, so have to be ground level. However, having a twin lascannon in small games is great (when it hits) and the twin heavy bolter does as expected.

I'd argue the range is too short for the twin assault cannon and multi-melta, but they should make a mess if anything gets near (no restrictions on these).

I wanted something to semi guard my whirlwinds while the rest of the army does their thing. I'll make a list with em. Currently I have 3x HB , 3x Lascannon, and 3x Assualt Cannons. If I read the entry correctly in the Index, a single FA choice can have 3x Tarantula Sentry Guns.

@Race Bannon: For sure man I'll defiantly try em out.

@Jolemai: Apperciate the input man.

I'm with Race. Try them and report back ... and I'll do the same. I've built two list, one with 2 ACs, one with 2 HBs. I had the same idea as far as Alpha Strike area denial. After the FAQ it seems less an issue but once I get going I have a suspicion as the meta changes Beta Strike is going to become more a thing.

I have to use mine in game (3 Hyperios, 3 Assault Cannons, 3 HB, 3 LC) but on Paper the AC ones are probably the most ideal as it does not have the targeting restrictions of the other versions and has better shot out put than that of the Multi melta
