Legion of the Damned units?

I don't recall the specifics of the book, but I do recall the captain of the Excoriators interacting with Damned Legionnaires in the novel Space Marine Battles: Legion of the Damned.

Though it's a fair point in managing expectations: it's not a novel uniquely and literally about the faction known as the Legion of the Damned; they're not the main characters, nor even the precise focus of the plot.

 

So, in that respect, its not a 'deep dive' on the Legion of the Damned.

 

But, on a deeper level still, it is *totally* a deep dive on the Legion of the Damned. Maybe just not the one most people expected. ;)

 

(FYI, I adore that novel. And Rob Sanders' works, generally - but they're not exactly to everyone's tastes. Still, I'd maintain it's by far the finest Space Marine story ever told!)
