Question about Greenstuff sulpting

Greetings Brothers,

 

I have been working on lots of marines and terrain recently.

Next Project are two Rhinos.

 

I got them magnetized, and Added Hinges, cut out the doors so you can see inside on the sides.

Ill also put in some LEDs for internal lighting.

 

I just want to add something special, which ive seen a while ago and i cant get it out of the head:

Does anyone here have any Ideas how to achieve those Speaker-Heads?

 

I thought about cutting some 0,5 mm Plasticard pieces and glue them next to each other with some gaps, to achieve the speaker grill.

What kind of tools would you recommend to sculpt the head. I Just have some dental tools,

 

I guess clay shapers would be good? Which sizes would I need?

 

I am Planning on sculpting one or two and see which one I like best. Then I guess making mould for casting woul save some time (but cost a bit though).

I think it's the Doom Siren piece from the Chaos vehicle kits, cut in half and extended with GS or plasticard, and all the horns and cables removed.

You have sure enlightend me.

I have plenty of those bits in my bits box, and yet i have failed to see the resemblance till now. =D

It seems to be a bit altered though, but this beeing the base seems about right. I will try my best to acieve something similar. I really dig this rhino, and my noise marines need a worthy party bus!
