Fytharin
Hi folks, so just coming back and it's been a long while...I've been teased and known for not putting terrain on my bases but I'm looking to change that in masse. I know a bunch of our units had their base size changed and was hoping I could get a run down on those so I can make sure everything I own is up to date. From what I recall, pretty much all of our basic marines got upgraded to 32 mm, is that right? Right now I have the following still on 25 mm's and I'm thinking they all need to be upgraded? Just looking for confirmation before I put in the work or someone who can point me in the right direction article wise. I couldn't find any space wolf specific discussion on the topic. Long Fangs Gray Hunters Ulric Rune Priest Sky Claws Thanks for the help! EDIT: I found talk of some 32mm being upgraded to 40mm also? Is that true? Fytharin
Of course as soon as I post, I find this:https://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Basing_Guidelines_for_Warhammer_40,000#Space_Marines Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349846-32mm-base-size-change/#findComment-5153044 Share on other sites
PeteySödes
List looks right, the 32mm werent used prior to that change so TDA is still 40mm. A buddy of mine went this route: https://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=761 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349846-32mm-base-size-change/#findComment-5153045 Share on other sites
Fytharin
Nice, I think if I had bases already done up I might consider that route too. As it is...all of my bases are naked so seems like a great time to kill 2 birds with one blow. There's only 4 of them right now, but I'll be buying new product to fill out the rest of the squad and i dont want the bases to be mismatched. I'm probably going to leave my Greyhunter bases as is though. Jarl of Wulfen
I restarted my wolves using mk3 and mk4 armor and gave them an interior/biarding action look using http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=79_30_61&products_id=754 and http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=79_30_41&products_id=753 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349846-32mm-base-size-change/#findComment-5153081 Share on other sites
Nadir
It's called base adapters. You can find those on different sites. Sometimes you need to mask the connection between the two halves with a putty, but I was manage to do that in my army (150+ figures), so you will be fine I think :) One more thing: you don't have to change the bases, but all new minis have bigger ones, and they look cooler that way- bigger. brother_b
Those secret weapon adapters aren't that good, there is another adapter that has a lip it makes it easier to put on the models . I'll try and find it. Edit: http://ttadapters.com These are the adapters I used. This is the place I bough them.
