Looking for Input

I decided for some variety and learn more about 8th edition.  I got 11 games under my belt now.  That instead of taking the now finished Slaanesh demon army.  I am going to go to a tournament where I present a keyword like inquisition, or sisters, or demon.  Catch is I get 2 lists.  The warlord has to be same in both lists.  The traits can be different though.

I am hung up on trying to decide for the first list.  Maybe I should try one with dominions and serphaim.  Then the other without the dominions.  I am not sure as they chew through the points fast and I want to take them with flamer immolators as I dont own repressors.   I am looking through the stuff and it seems Celestine is an almost auto include.

I am just musing here.  Things that I want to be included, dont need to be in both lists are Celestine, a cannoness, 4 heavy bolter rets, 3 pentinet engines, and I would love to be able to use Greyfax and the limited edition witch hunter.   So I am thinking an outrider, or brigade detachment with a vanguard for the Inquisition, just fill in some cheap acolytes and steal an immolator as thats all I got available really, unless I somehow got the inquisitor fw land raider.  My points I am looking for is 1750.   I dont mind if the games are decreased in points.  Its hard to get 2 or 3 turns in with 2k especially my demon army that had over 100 models.

Thanks all.

Hard to say without a list of what you have available. I would aim at a battalion of Sisters rather than a brigade. I dont like being hemmed into tax choices just to fill out detachment reqs though. Those tax points always add up too fast for me.

You make a good point there.  I should had mentioned that.  I got 3 canoness.  20 serphaim enough to make 2 squads.  Got enough superiors for battle squads to make 10.  I all ready have 3 converted for dominon combi-melta.  50ish bolter girls, 3 imafigers, 4 crusaders, 5 death cult assassins, 3 priests, jacbous, 3 pentinet engines, 2 repentia mistresses, 9 repentia got 9 rhino/immolators, and enough to make a full heavy bolter retributor squad.  Just really unsure of what I want to make or use.

As for special weapons I have 12 melta guns, 2 stormbolters, and 6 flamers.  Do have 5 heavy flames, 7 heavy bolters, and 2 multi-meltas.

Along with that since they are really not sister stuff anymore, 2 calldius assassins, 2 culuex, and 1 vindicator, along with greyfax and a ordo herecticus inquistor.  I like to use the inquistors for sure at least.

I agree, we need the Imagifers.  I am just unsure what sort of detachment to take to get the things I want.  I was messing around with battlescribe and time I was done.  I was around 2200 points before I even added the assassins or inquistors.  I was plug and playing around with things I would normally take in 6 and 7.  So now I am just at a loss.  Are the dominons, like auto include?  Maybe just drop them in favor of batlte sister squads since they got objec secured and potentially run more of them.  This will be my actual first go with them this edition.

If this will help  at my last Tournament I ran a Battalion with a Spearhead detachment.  It had Celestine (full), 2x Canoness', 2x Imagifiers, 3 Sister Squads, 2x Seraphim Squads (IP), Dominion Squad (melta), Retributor Squad (HB), Exorcist, 2x Penitent Engines as a Squad, 3x Immolators and a Repressor. I did pretty well (3rd). It was just a local tournament but I had a lot of fun.

Sisters are, I think, unique in the fact that we are deadliest at less than 12 inches but, except for 2 or 3 units, we NEVER want to get into melee. That creates a rather hectic playstyle. :)

8th Edition has made me so grateful that we have plenty of access to melta guns. And the Immolator with that Immolation Flamer is fantastic. I advance them all over the board like they're hot rods.

Well i play a bit of sisters, and as far as i can say:

Celestine auto-include.

Melta-seraphims are good, but it could be a waste to take more than 1 squad (infernoX4, plasma pistol) because you have a free aof on 2+ and you'll be using it on Seraphims (free Celestine AoF will go to herself).

Combo of HB retributors, canoness and imagfer is really good and kills a lot of infantry. I play 2 squads (8 hb) with 2 imagifers and a canoness.

Imolators are on fire, kill a lot of infantry.

Ofc repressors are must-have for competitive, but well...

As far as i played sisters are heavily relied on first turn, i usually play mine as bleitzkreig army.

Well I ended up making a few lists.  I guess it turned out to be inquisition soup.  I am ok with that.  I am not sure since Battlescribe didnt have options.  I can use immolators to transport around inquisition acolytes due to them being able to seize any imperial vehicle correct?  As it goes I think list 1 and 3 are the best.  I might fiddle with it more to get a full serphaim squad of 10.  Not sure if I need that though.  Let me know what you think can or can suggest.  I guess I am just going to have to get used to seeing a smaller model count.

I am not really sure yet.  I think I will find the list that I like the best.  Take dominate on one of the lists.  Then try a different one.  That way use the same list haha.  I really like the idea of the two list concept that the TO has.  I am just unsure between those three lists.  Dominate seems really fun.  Terrify looks like it could be really good to.  The discipline seems kinda odd due to the powers and the name of it though.  With the units being so small I cant see the auto pass morale for a unit being much help.

Also I know my area is heavy with psykers.  I could go with list 1, and for the 2nd list.  Change the 2 storm bolter girls, and the Calldius assassin for the Culuex.  Since the first list is sitting at 1749 and the 2 assassins in question are at a 5 point difference with the Culuex being 5 more points.  Guess that is food for thought to.  I did try to go with the all comers approach in mind.  I also tend to try to make something fluffy that fits and works well.  I also like to field things I like the look of.  Its why I didnt do say eldar bike and wraithlord spam, or tau during 6th and 7th.  Just dont like the appeal or the look.  Then I would feel like "that guy."  I am sure everyone knows one of those WAAC or they just bring whats powerful right now, then next faq they get all salty and go to the next big thing.
