Naryn
That video was so helpful, thanks for making it! It’s one thing to read a detailed explanation, but another altogether to watch someone work. I picked up some clay shapers a while ago to try to get started on sculpting, and they’re just so flexible that i can’t get anything done with them. I’m talking the consistency of a spaghetti noodle. Are there different flexibilities of clay shaper, and do you have a preference? Brother-Chaplain Kage
Yes, and I forgot to mention that in my video! The ones I buy are the firm type and they're always black. I tried some softer ones that were grey and I didn't care for it at all. Naryn
Thanks so much! The ones I got were a sort of light grey, so that explains it. I’ll track down some black ones and give it another go. Do you have to wash it to get the oil off before priming? Brother-Chaplain Kage
Yes, you will have to wash it before priming and I use some soap and a soft toothbrush to gently scrub it.
