Hawkeye252
I know the regimental standards and such might not overly popular in command squads but I love flags in my civil war themed army. Does anyone know of or have any suggestions for 3rd party flags? Something along the lines of the scion or Cadian flags without it saying scion ot cadia on it. Halfpint100
I would use the plastic flags. Carve out the bits you don't want and repair with green stuff. Give you nice smooth surfaces to work with Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350205-custom-regimental-flags/#findComment-5163880 Share on other sites
Harrowmaster
Anvil industry have a range of banners from tattered to ornate to plain, there aren't any custom options though. WarriorFish
A friend filed down a flag, and painted over another - this was back when plastic flags didn't exist too! So it'd be possible, but I would imagine a bit of work and you'd need some GS to do some patching up perhaps? Banners look too cool not to have though ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350205-custom-regimental-flags/#findComment-5163946 Share on other sites
duz_
I stole this off the Space Marine command kit. Literally a blank slate if you wanted to do freehand too. Kierdale
If I remember correctly mine came from one of the WHFB Empire infantry boxes: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350205-custom-regimental-flags/#findComment-5164007 Share on other sites
Hawkeye252
Thanks for the great replies. I'm terrible with GS so eBay bits and using files it is. Exilyth
Back in the day, people made flags/banners using toothpicks, adding some tissue soaked in white glue. Nowadays, there's such a huge choice of GW and third party bits. OtherKharon
Apart from the obvious choices from the Cadian or Catachan command box you have following other options (that I have seen being used): Within GW's range: - Empire Fantasy banners - Dark Elf banners - Space Marine banners 3rd party options: - Victoria Miniatures - Anvil Industry Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350205-custom-regimental-flags/#findComment-5166096 Share on other sites
