MDops
First off, I hope i got the right place for this... I am looking at getting a couple more Hellbrutes to convert into Sonic Dreads, and I was wondering if people had experience with assembling the scourge on the opposite side to that of the instructions as I want to use the Missile arm for my conversion. Dragonlover
No, but having built the scourge on the right side I imagine a couple of pins and a liberal amount of green stuff would do the trick nicely. Maschinenpriester
Depends on if youbwant to magnetize too. I build 4 hellbrutes so far, with sonic weapons made from the plasma guns (i inserted tubes and made them longer and greenstuffed a grill in the mouth). You can either just greenstuff the scourge on the other side, or use the left handed fist part, and cut that one off, add greenstuff in the gap and then you can even magnetize that one. Trevak Dal
Is there an "easier" way of assembling helbrutes? Following the instructions led to sticky fingers and imbalanced piece, I pulled the parts off, cleaned up the glue and then built the sides, front and back of the chassis to make a more stable 'box'. (The instructions indicated building front, back, and then fitting the side parts into the small gap...I didn't have a great time with that) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350329-hellbrute-modeling-question/#findComment-5167265 Share on other sites

Maschinenpriester
Well as i said. The cant be swapped with a little effort. But its not too hard. I might make a little tutorial for sonic weapoks and the power scourge when I returned from my vacation in 3 weeks. 40kChrista
Good to know. Kinda sucks that they cant be swapped. Cheers all I know I’m kind of late to this conversation but it’s not too hard to modify a shoulder from a built power scourge by building up the gaps from the backwards shoulder attachment with GS; or to graft one onto a power fist stump. I have my Brutes magnetized and ordered extra scourges for double scourge load out... a.k.a Noodle Brute... and will back filling any gaps from the backwards attachment since they are so close and I don’t have any extra fists to spare.
