Custode Support Inquiry

Hey everyone!

So I'm still playing around with a list I want to build for the LVO. I was looking through my Custode codex last night and I saw a pretty cool option. The Shield-Captain in Allarus Armour can take a relic that allows them to instantly teleport to another imperial character chosen at the beginning of the game.

I was thinking about taking the Cpt. Smash and the Librarian with power-axe options for my HQ for my Flesh tearers and I was curious what you guys though about possibly adding in the one Shield-Captain with that relic.

I'm honestly not even sure this is possible. Anyone know?

People have tried to combo the Praetorian Plate on a Terminator Vexilus Praetor with the Vexilla Teleport Homer Strategem in the following movement phase in order to teleport an entire squad of Allarus Terminators in 3" away from the enemy.

There is just one problem with this: The Preatorian Plate triggers at the end of you opponent's charge phase. Since you have to nominate the character you want to teleport to, your opponent will either stay far away from the nominated character or gun him down in the shooting phase if he gets too close. But he certainly won't charge him or allow him to heroically intervene. In summary, unless you opponent is unaware of what the relic does, it probably won't do much for you.

Ahhh fair enough. I was wondering if it might be useful as a deterrent to help keep one of my Flesh Tearer HQs alive. But I can see some of the issues with this now. Going to have to look into this some more.

This might actually work better with SW characters and their 6" Heroic Intervention.
