Madmonkeyman
I have a few questions regarding heroic interventions (HI): 1. Can you perform them if you are already in combat ( essentially a free pile in, would be very useful of base to basing opponents models etc). reading the rule if i am within 3 of an enemy after all his charges then its fair game. Nothing says I don't have to be in combat. 2. If a unit gets the HI rule- Ie celestine and the girls , or custodes bikes when near the warlord ( custodes warlord trait - units act like characters for Heroic intervention ). Does each model need to be with in 3 of an enemy to HI or just one model in my unit to make the whole unit HI. 3. if i stooping dive an enemy I take it i cant HI after as HI happens after charges and stooping dives happen at the end of the phase. what do people think? Free pile in moves are very good in the right circumstances. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350523-heroic-intervention-questions/ Share on other sites
BlackTriton
1- you can HI with a character in combat, but must end closer to the closest enemy model, so probably no going anywhere. 2-my understanding is that the unit gets to move closer to the closest enemy, so all in the same direction. 3-I beleive you are right. BluejayJunior
3 - If I'm understanding the order of operations correctly, I think you could do both. But you would have to HI before declaring Stooping Dive. So it would be opponent finishes charges, then HI, then it's the end of the phase so you activate Stooping Dive.
