Tyriks
I don't remember specific armaments, unfortunately. Only how effective they said it was at controlling the flow of a battle down to minute details. Stray
Not a book I've read it seems :) - but yours is a fair argument, if you know there is fluff supporting it I'll happily withdraw my objection. Still, it'd be nice to see something a little more unique even if just a variant rule supporting what you describe from the book. Heliomanes
Yeah, the three-legged Magos Militant combat specialist cruised around in a specially built, open topped command rhino in "Priests of Mars".Just let me use my Triaros transports and I'll be happy. Well, happier. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350576-mechanicus-faq-2018/page/2/#findComment-5174538 Share on other sites
Tyriks
I would much prefer a unique model to use, but Rhinos would be an okay stopgap. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350576-mechanicus-faq-2018/page/2/#findComment-5174590 Share on other sites
Tiger9gamer
ah darn I completely forgot that literally everyone now has shroud psalm. It was cool when we had it, as we have no ways to hide our foot troopers and soldiers, but everyone having it seems a bit... much. really abusable in my oppinion, but that may be me being sad my gunline is just a little less effective. After this semester is over I would have to see how it plays out. Clingy
Phosphor ignores cover, so let them waste 2CP :) All hail dakabots Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350576-mechanicus-faq-2018/page/2/#findComment-5174666 Share on other sites

After this semester is over I would have to see how it plays out. Eldar flyers with -1 to hit and a 2+ save (from cover) with a chance to ignore damage on a roll. YUP. But I digress, as others have said, let people burn CP on it, Dakka bots ignore cover. Frostglaive
And that is why I'm so happy the Eldar players in my group are few and far between... Heliomanes
Both are buffs to the Martian gunline type of army. Dakkabots ignore the cover our enemies try to hide behind, and now your own units get to have 2+ turns of guaranteed cover. Spend the stratagem turn 1, and use another canticle - like army wide rerolling 1s when shooting. Then activate shroud psalm round 2. Third round you start randomizing, fishing for cover again if necessary. But I digress, as others have said, let people burn CP on it, Dakka bots ignore cover. But i do not have dakka bots in most of my lists, just because of how one dimensional they are. I preferred to roll with an armored core of onagers and a knight for anti-tank. ah well, I guess I have to switch some stuff up now, but it still saddens me that they didnt even think stuff like this through to it's conclusion. Now eldar gain an immense buff to an already crazy set of rules, and necrons can be even harder to take down. I guess high AP stuff is even more valuable for anti-tank! Third round you start randomizing, fishing for cover again if necessary. that's a good point, and I will consider it. I usually wait till turn two to hit the re-rolls just so my deepstrikers hit even harder. Will have to study this more.
