Neophyte for your Ryghts
Hey, so this got me thinking: Also, for anyone needing scatter terrain the Necromunda Barricades and Objectives kit is great. It's mostly all self standing so doesn't need basing and one kit is enough to pretty heavily add obstruction to a board I never knew this set existed. Link: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Necromunda-Barricades-Objectives-2017 This ticks three boxes for me: lots of applicability in my games, I couldn't easily make it and isn't bad value for money (given the context of GW terrain). KT boxes themselves are brimming with incredible scenery options at a discount, but what other options are out there? Here's a thread to link to your favourite terrain pieces which you think would complement KT games, while keeping the the of: Affordability (relatively speaking) Applicability (useful in most or all games) Reproducibility (would require higher tier hobby skills / 3d printer - both of which I lack!) I'm stealing Kinstryfe's idea :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350702-non-kt-kt-terrain/ Share on other sites
Mordekiem
Yeah, I agree. Especially with the part about the 3D printer. I just got one and there is a bunch of stuff like this to print out there. Trevak Dal
I've been thinking about making 32mm scale shelving (like a grocery store). Stuff has been annoying at work lately...and it would be funny to crack out my cultists who I drunkenly started painting like they wear our uniforms. Exilyth
The "sigmarite mausoleum" kit for AoS is two of the old "garden of mort" kits and contains a bunch of small buildings and walls. Could be usefull for a shrine world or random graveyard. Just needs some sigmarite comets replaced with imperial eagles and maybe a statue or two from the sector imperialis kits added. Kinstryfe
Kinda weird, but I was shopping at a retail closeout store and found a Walking Dead prison tower not-lego kit. I looked it up and bought four for about $50us total. I've kitbashed two together and they look perfect for KT terrain (and even 40k). They can even be built to line up with the SM stuff I have. Great value if you can find it cheap (found mine at a place called Ollie's). Dr_Ruminahui
Yeah, those look good as 40K terrain, though a bit plain next to the ornate GW terrain. I think they would be perfectly fine either with a little embellishment or if they weren't right next to the more detailed mechanicum terrain. Mordekiem
Nice find. I checked Amazon and it looks like they have a few different sets. The tower is probably the best of them for KT purposes. My Brother kitbashed a landing pad for me a number of years ago and a couple of these would help finish up and landing pad type of look.
