Trying to accomplish a fairly reasonable looking kasrkin outside of hoping to find them second hand (and let's face it, they only had a handful of sculpts, so repetitive). Start with Forgeworld resin cadian “hostile environment” conversion kits. Between their already being cadian in appearance, having a respirator and goggles almost identical to the kasrkin models. Not exactly the same as the kasrkin legs, but about as much armour on them. I'll have to clip off the Lasgun batteries and use some old guitar strings to run a cable back to the back pack too... A used guitar string is scrap and about 30" long, so plenty there. I will have well over 100 extra 25mm round bases thanks to an extensive rebasing of my marines… so that's not an issue I have personally at the moment. I think this is reasonable... Despite being a pile of expensive resin, buying the FW upgrade of 10 guys plus 2 sets of 5 legs from anvil comes out just under 50USD. then the bases and raiding the bits bin is "free"... VS 10 tempestus scions from GW being 70usd... Or kasrkin on eBay being emperor knows what. And the pose options vs the old pewter sculpts is a big plus... Thoughts? holydiver Posted October 20, 2018 Share Posted October 20, 2018 I'm planning on green stuffing on the armor panels for Kasrkin. I've also seen people use plasticard. Where I vary from you is the legs. The Mad Robot Miniatures armored legs (forget what they're called) look almost identical to kasrkin ones.. they aesthetically match better than the Anvil ones IMO Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
