Rogue
The kill team box scenery - the gothic ruins - has a lot of windows in it. Clearly, these allow line of sight. But do they also allow movement? In 40k, it wouldn’t matter - infantry can move through walls anyway. In kill team, they can’t. But windows aren’t walls, they’re gaps. If I pay an inch or two to move up the wall to them, can I pass through the frame? I can’t find it in the rules. Our best guess was that the windows just count as part of the wall for movement purposes, so no going through. (And as my wife pointed out, the bases wouldn’t fit anyway, and as bases limit the ways you can move around other models (1” gaps and so on) she felt it would apply here too). Anyone able to offer any rules clarity or general thoughts on this? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350803-windows-in-ruins/ Share on other sites

Anyone able to offer any rules clarity or general thoughts on this? If your model + base can physically fit through gaps then it can fit through. Easy as that ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350803-windows-in-ruins/#findComment-5179115 Share on other sites
Aarik
Did I completely miss that infantry can move through walls in normal 40k? But I agree that bases being able to fit makes sense as a resolution. Mordekiem
If the base doesn't fit, you must acquit! :) Or go around. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350803-windows-in-ruins/#findComment-5180183 Share on other sites
theHiff
I play Murder Clowns so terrain rarely enters into my mind. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350803-windows-in-ruins/#findComment-5180324 Share on other sites
Kastor Krieg
The way we play it, windows are not an obstacle for regular infantry, walls are. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350803-windows-in-ruins/#findComment-5181262 Share on other sites
Orpheus108
I asked our local GW guy about this because of Harlequins and their flip belts and going through windows. And his response was if the model can fit through the gap then yes the model can go through, if no, then it can't move through. SkimaskMohawk
Yea but harlequins don't care, since they don't measure vertically. Going all the way over is the same as going through Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350803-windows-in-ruins/#findComment-5181690 Share on other sites
Orpheus108
With Harlequins, it's only if it doesn't have a roof so they can go over the top of it. Otherwise they can't go through Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350803-windows-in-ruins/#findComment-5182103 Share on other sites
SkimaskMohawk
? A roof or floor doesn't matter, you just need a vertical surface to ascend or descend. They don't pay movement to go up or down, so only the horizontal distance moved is measured.
