I've been away from gaming for the past year on account of work and my son being born, but now that I've found some balance in my life again (haha) I'm trying to get back into the hobby. I've always favored close combat-centric armies (thus my Night Lords and Space Wolves), but lately I've been taking a look at the Iron Warriors with greater interest.I've seen some interesting lists on here, particularly with the Mechanicum as allies. I'm looking to build an army that is long range heavy but can still mix it up in melee when necessary. I'm not sure I've accomplished that but I'm hoping for some feedback to that end.The basic strategy so far is to have the Praetor and his Iron Circle bodyguards sitting back and protecting the artillery alongside the Archmagos. Â @LtDan: Is there something you think the quads should replace? I thought I had enough artillery but I guess with this legion and this rite in particular there's no such thing lol. Does this look more like what a correctly implemented Ironfire list should look like? I want to be able to pound them at range but still keep a few bruisers in the list that can brawl should the need arise. Would I and this rite of war be better served with the Mechanicum allies or a LOW? Opinions?
