Ultramarines; my remedy

To save myself from myself and my constant chapter-changes ive decided to pledge myself to the ultra marines. Ive gone from Iron Hands to Blood Angels to Dark Angels to Raptors to Raven Guard to carcharodons Astra to white scars and was still searching for my chapter.

Ill keep my salamanders and a detachment of Raven Guard but will brew aaall my models down to ultramarines. The first batch im painting is my primaris:

Captain

10 hellblasters

6 plasma inceptors

15 intercessors

Ancient

Leutenant

Redemptor Dreadnought

Next up is my 2 leviathans and plenty of bikes, 3 preds, 3 vindicators and 2 landraiders.

My first not completed squad of hellblasters. Of some reason they look darker than in real life. Comments and questions is always welcome

Thank you Brother Lunkhead!

Some progress made tonight. Hellblasters are closer to completion and started on first intercessor squad:

This is why I make my own Chapter, and attribute the various Chapter Tactics to the Company.

Which of course is a great way to get rid of the decisions between this and that chapter. Buuuut since I mostly play for fluff reasons I need a chapter with a great history. Now I do these ultramarines. I keep my salamanders since I love their history, that’s why I also keep my raven guard. Since I love bikes I had to keep the white scars as well.

I think battleready, just need to put transfers on. Pretty happy since it was a fast process. I like fast, with 2 children eating up my time. So i need to balance endresult and time per miniature. What you guys think?

I love building my own history, playing an established Chapter makes me feel like I am riding someone else's coat tails.

Neither approach is wrong however.

Yeah! Only transfers left and some highlighting on seargent helmets! 10 hellblasters and a intercessor-squad. Next up: 6 inceptors and a leutenant.

Bloody hell wish I was as fast as you at painting! Look great man.

Thanks alot! I have a servitor-like approach to painting since i dont have much time to use for painting:)

I think the 10-man hellblastersquad took all in all effektive painting time 5 hours split on several days. Since its fast i Appreciate you think they look good!
