Magnetizing the Repulsor?

Hello,

as I couldn’t find any tutorials online, has anyone magnetized the weapon options his/her repuslor? I have started to build one and I’m not sure how well it would work out, especially with the smaller weapons. Looking at the instructions and the parts, I guess the main weapons are probably not that difficult to magnetize, aren’t they?

Or have you just built your favorite weapon layout?

Have you done any work with magnets previously? I put this tutorial together for how I do magnets: https://imgur.com/a/0xFsd

I've not built that kit but I have done a lot of magnetization. I've done tons of marine arms/weapon options and did put a lot of work into a razorback. I've even gone down and used 1x1mm magnets for hunter killer missiles so they could be removed after I used them.

Anything can be magnetized if you give it enough thought. One thing I used with the razorback for the turrets was to get thin metal sheets. I would cut sections off and glue them in areas that would be too difficult to place magnets.

I magnetised the main weapons and the (front panels of the) launchers on the hull, all using 1x3mm magnets.

The only weapon I didn't magnetise but felt could also easily be done was the turret-mounted stubber and Gatling.

It was a fairly quick and job, so I'd recommend it.

I left the turrent separate for ease of storage, since it pops right on and with just primer on it, it fits in pretty snugly.
