Right, now we’re running a one of kind prize this Christmas, the Ultimate Warhammer Experience. Fancy meeting the design teams? Seeing shiny new stuff? Seeing how the Warhammer World exhibition team make the displays and what they’re working on? Well, 75 lucky people will and they can take a friend! Every time you spend £150 in store in one go, you’ll get a free entry!

This applies to brick and mortar stores only; no online stuff. Sorry foreigners!

So, it seems as if this is Geedub's big hook this Christmas; the opportunity for a guided tour around Warhammer World. I've spoken to our local staff member, and it also includes a Q&A session as well as the opportunity to see concepts for new products/stuff that hasn't been revealed yet (without signing a NDA).

Yeah, no. Being one of the 75 first people to spend 150 GBP in the Store instead of a -25% FLGS is asking enough. Asking people to spend as much at MSRP and all for a CHANCE of being 75 out of Emperor knows how many? Eugh.

Just to clarify; as you aren't employed by Games Workshop you won't have to sign a waiver of confidentiality.

Also, key reminder for those of you who haven't heard anything; you may still be in the running.

And just to clarify on my end, I was joking about the waver. I like the idea of this being some Charlie and the Chocolate Factory situation where GW bring a bunch of people into their secretive factory manned entirely by Squats. :biggrin.:

  • 4 weeks later...

Got a reminder email about attending on Saturday (like I’m gonna forget!!) all still very vague like they’re trying to keep it low key and not get anyone’s expectations up. They’ve brought it forward an hour so that means I got to be on the road at 5am now not 6.

Here’s the email:

Hello

Just a quick reminder that the Warhammer Experience day is on Saturday this week (2nd February).

We are all very excited here, and plans for the day are going very well. We think you will enjoy the Warhammer Experience event.

Below are some key things to help you plan for the day:

Please arrive between 09:00 and 09:30. You can gain access through the Bugmans Bar Entrance to the right of Warhammer World, where you will be registered and given an agenda for the day

A Welcome Presentation for the day will take place at 09:45 in Bugmans Bar, followed by a briefing by the Events Team

The Experience will commence at 10:00

A complimentary lunch will be provided between 12:45 and 13:45 as part of the day with a choice of menu (if you need to let us know of any food allergies please do so at registration)

The day will end at 17:00

The venue address is below for reference:

Warhammer World, Games Workshop, Willow Road, Lenton, Nottingham, NG7 2WS

As per our previous email, please bring a copy of the original email and some form of ID on the day.

We very much look forward to seeing you on the day, and if you have any further questions please let us know.

Regards

The Warhammer Experience Team

I'd expect he'll see any immediate announcements relating to Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar; given the initial announcement for the competition mentioned attendees would be seeing stuff that'd be revealed within weeks of the visit it's likely to be stuff relating to Vigilus, any model updates for Chaos and any future new releases for Age of Sigmar (likely the Slaves to Darkness revamp).

Again, Fr33Dom isn't sworn to secrecy by GW or forced to sign an NDA; he can disclose anything he sees there. I'm certain that other people will too.
