mertbl
So my brother bought me a ticket to adepticon for Christmas. Never went before so I'm super excited. We will be playing in the 40k champs. Any insight into tournament itself? Are tables heavy in terrain or spartan? Do missions favor killing all asap or a more durable objective based game plan? Captain Idaho
Expect time wasting. Expect alpha striking principles where people will do loads of damage under a short timeframe so when the time for the game runs out they've won. BLACK BLΠFLY
The tables there are often quite sparse on any significant terrain tbh . Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351280-adepticon-veterans/#findComment-5194687 Share on other sites

Do you fly over to the US every year then or was it the one time? Jorin Helm-splitter
Haven't played in the champs, but I've played in the team tournament four years in row. It's always felt like a good amount of terrain. Missions vary but they tend to post them early so you can adapt to them. It's good experience though and there are alot of things to do there Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351280-adepticon-veterans/#findComment-5194849 Share on other sites

Fortunately I do a little thing called research with several well respected tournament goers and watch match reports etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351280-adepticon-veterans/#findComment-5194955 Share on other sites
Dracos
I was under the mistaken impression the BIG tournaments are adding time clocks to do away with time wasting shenanigans? BluejayJunior
Most ITC tournaments are. I'm not sure what Adepticon is doing. I am planning on going myself, but couldn't really find much about the 40K champs tournament yet.
