IA: my DIY Chapters (wip)

Here are my DIY Chapters ( I do not want to make a different post for everything)

1) Caballeros Vulpones (unknown founding - 23rd?)

2) Ravens of Messina (unknown founding)

 

3) Doom Riders (unknown - 3rd? founding)

 

 

4) Vorpal Blades (Ultima Founding)

colour is supposed to be brushed steel

 

5) Doom Praetors (unknown founding)

A fine list. The "Doom Riders" may need to change their name, due to its similarity to that of the Daemon Prince of Slaanesh "Doomrider"- you do NOT want your Chapter to become victims of "friendly fire," and you know the Inquisition has a "Shoot first, shoot second, shoot third, ask questions later- after you shoot fourth, just in case," attitude towards possible Chaos corruption. May I suggest "Death Riders"?

How about "Doomsmiths"? I previously proposed the name to Stark, along with the battle cry, "We forge the doom of all enemies of the Imperium!" Your Chapter will need Techmarines and a Master of the Forge to provide maintenance on the bikes.

 

Do you also have attack bike-mounted Thunderfire cannons to provide long-range fire support, and attack bike-mounted Icarus stormcannons to provide air defense?

With the amount of names that appear in multiple factions, I don't think that having a Chapter named the "Doom Riders" is a problem, especially if the OP wants to use that name and knows about the daemon prince of the same name.

Didn't Korsarro Khan go after the Doomrider at one stage? Perhaps your guys were founded with a similar link, hunting for the daemon Prince over several centuries?

Some interesting colour schemes there, have you got any fluff behind them?

Yes, all of my chapters are created with fluff (that's why I lose in competitive :P )

On the Doom Rider front that was the name if the Cursed Founding chapter I made a decade or so ago (which is in Philip S.'s 1000 Chapter Gallery) and I ran into a similar stumbling block.

 

I changed the name to Death Riders instead but still doesn't feel right. Sticking to Doom Riders is perfectly acceotable however in my book.

 

What was the fluff behind your guys? Would be curious to compare notes if I can find my old writings.

 

In terms if other names if you do wanna change it, a few that swirled around my head back in the day were "Doom Reavers/Reapers", "Death Reavers/Reapers", "Doom Blades"
