"Pure" Custodes in ITC

Recommended Posts

I'm going to my first ITC event in January, using the Championship missions (correct term?)

I want to take my Custodes, but I've never played ITC before... Can we compete? Any recommendations? I have all the units from the codex, and one each of the dreadnoughts.

Any help appreciated!

I play my Telemon a lot. I've settled as the Arachnus Lasstrum (dual) as my preferred build.

I will tell you that I heavily doubt it in a pure ITC environment though. And please check with your Tournie director to make sure they allow it.

That being said if you're pure Custodes in ITC I don't think you can do well with less than two squads of bikes. Hordes are still a real thing, and mobility is essential. You can get it from other sources, but unless things change with CA, it will be a hard mode decision if you leave bikes behind. :)

Annie-

I think the collective reasoning here is pretty bang on, but I wouldn't let it stop you. If it were me, I'd go and see how much damage I could do with pure Custodes. That is a challenge in itself. It's all about expectation.

But it is also true that we really need to see what Chapter Approved is going to do. We all have hopes, and wish lists, but logically we have to believe the troop Guardians will be reduced, as will Allarus, and perhaps Wardens. This could change things substantially.

I hope Trajhaan gets reduced (75pts if the rumours are to be believed) then he'll be a good force multiplier with all those re-rolls, extra CP and a straight up baller Axe.

Mostly though I hope he is as it's the best face I've ever painted
