Tyriks
How useful are Tzeentch Daemons as allies to Thousand Sons? Found some SC: Tzeentch Daemons boxes at a great price so I bought them. Seems like they could add some stuff to Thousand Sons addition to being a logical fluff choice. Plus, they look cool and have some fun options. Quixus
Horrors are a good substitute for the goats and you get another battalion for cheap. I am not sure what tank killing options they have, which TS lack. Ahzek451
Horrors are ok as Quixus said. There are ways to throw out a ton of shots with them for ranged anti-hoard. I have tried to make a lord of change work with chariots but I find that I would rather just stick to the options in the codex. Not unplayable, just better. The big bird and chariots need to come down a bit in pts. BoomWolf
Horrors make good chaffI find exalted flamers to be a decent source of anti-tank and general annoyance especially given that they are hidden as characters. Raven1
Brimestones are not in the box but are excellent chaff Pink horrors in a deepstrike bomb can kill chaff easy especially when buffed by a herald Heralds are good and cast that free re-roll power Screamers...i have never used them but might work as a full squad with a herald on the chariot thing Flamers do what they say on the tin burninate and i believe are range 12" so awesome Exalted flamers have short range lascannons and flamers. The best part about them is they have the character keyword so even as a single model unit they will take work to remove. I would avoid the burning chariot with exalted flamer. It is basically an exalted flamer but without the character keyword. Also when taken as an allied battalion your daemon keyword units in codex TS benefit from the Tzeentch daemon auras put out by the codex daemon characters. The Daemon FAQ removed that. It now refers only to the faction keyword daemon not the regular keyword. Auras still work fine and the Designers Commentary still specifically mentions them working on CSM units with the Daemon keyword. Psychic Powers are unaffected as well.
