How do the Rogue Trader/Blackstone Fortress datasheets work?

In regards to the Blackstone fortress data sheets, how do these work?

 

Can you include say the Imperial Robot in any Imperial based army such as marines or guard or do they have to be in their own detachment.

 

For example could you take a guard patrol and chuck in the Rogue Trader guy?

It depends on how you're playing. If you're playing in Matched Play, per the Battle Brothers rule, all units in a detachment must share a Keyword other than Chaos, Imperium, Ynnari, Tyranids or Aeldari, so the imperial robot has to be in its own detachment as a result, as it doesn't share any keywords past Imperium with anything.

 

In Narrative, you can ignore this and bring an Imperium detachment without issue.

 

Spindle Drones can only be found in a full army of fortifications and -1 CP spindle drone detachments in Match Play, sadly.
