Xenith
The blood of your enemies? As far as I know, the old paints were made by coat d'arms, who still make equivalents - their red ink may be worth a try: https://www.blackhat.co.uk/product/137-ink-wash-red/ Recreating with GW paints will be tricky as the ink had a certain sticky, glossy quality. My closest guess would be carroburg crimson + ardcoat. Personally I'd try to move away from OOP paints EDIT: If you look at their entire range, you can see most of their paints actually still have the old GW names, like Warlock purple, etc. Might have to get a few of these myself! https://www.blackhat.co.uk/coat-darms/7791-2/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351545-old-citadel-red-ink-substitute/#findComment-5202745 Share on other sites
Imren
Charlo: Your best bet is probabaly P3 red ink. The P3 paints were designed by Mike McVey that painted for GW back in the 80-90's using GW paints, he was probably involved in the paint design for GW back then. So since he designed the P3 line (launched in 2006) I suspect that the P3 red ink is similar to citadel old red ink.
