Trickstick Posted December 3, 2018 Share Posted December 3, 2018 I haven't named my tanks yet but I did spend a long time thinking up names for BFG ships. I tended towards the extremely grand and verbose, for example I had the Recreants' Cataclysm, the Lord Odobenus, the Kalapani Pilgrim etc. I did name my Vulture Gunship Nomine Imperator, as High Gothic works well. I remember something I heard years ago, which sums up how I think Guard crews feel about their vehicles: "Tanks get names, men get numbers". The crews view these machines as holy relics of The Emperor's will. I guess it depends on the regiment though. Catachans and Tallarns are going to approach things differently.
