slitth
I started this topic because I was surprised there is not a marked for the Primaries shin-guard as the is for the shoulder guards. After all shin-guard is just as interchangeable as the shoulder guards. But I have yet to see someone make a shin-guard that look like the old Mark IV Maximus Pattern and its more trapezoid knee-pads, the studded Mark V Heresy Pattern Power or the smooth look of the Mark VI Corvus Pattern. Not to mention all the other details you could make. Skulls as knee-pads, scales for the salamanders (or Alpha Legion), eagles, spikes, heraldry and the like. Maybe there is just not a marked for it? What do you think? Would you by some custom shin-guard? Maybe for a place like shapeways? Doghouse
It's certainly possible, are they all identical fit though? For example will say shins A fit the legs of model B? Marshal Rohr
If they made old armor mark torso and shin plates and shoulder pads I’d personally write a thank you letter to GW Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351802-the-humble-primaris-shin-guard/#findComment-5204480 Share on other sites
Gederas
It's certainly possible, are they all identical fit though? For example will say shins A fit the legs of model B? They all LOOK identical, but how they attach to the leg are not. Shin Guard A will only fit on leg A, Shin Guard C can only fit Leg C, etc Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351802-the-humble-primaris-shin-guard/#findComment-5204487 Share on other sites
slitth
If they made old armor mark torso and shin plates and shoulder pads I’d personally write a thank you letter to GW Then what old mark would you like made first? It's certainly possible, are they all identical fit though? For example will say shins A fit the legs of model B? They all LOOK identical, but how they attach to the leg are not. Shin Guard A will only fit on leg A, Shin Guard C can only fit Leg C, etc True, but there are only 5 different sets. So you could make a set of Mark VI Corvus or Mark IV Maximus Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351802-the-humble-primaris-shin-guard/#findComment-5204525 Share on other sites
Grim Dog Studios
I've tried and failed multiple times in trying to make Primaris look like MK IV, but alas I do not have the hobby skills to do so. I would buy the hell out of a conversion kit that had MK IV style Shins/Knees for the Intercessor legs. Maybe even some torso fronts that had Cables across them too!
Wouldn't it be easier to just true-scale actual MkIV armour then? Possibly, but i find they always end up looking a bit too “lanky”. The Primaris models have that perfect height to width ratio and look like they have some bulk to them. True-scaling regular marines makes them have the correct height, but then makes it look as though the marine in the armour has very little bulk to him. betrayer41
Ive been trying since primaris came out. And unless youre very good with GS and Plasticard I haven't found anything. Shapeways makes a really cool knee cover which i use just to chance things up but Im hoping somone makes a MKIV knee cover or kromlech or someone starts making prime sized legs Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351802-the-humble-primaris-shin-guard/#findComment-5209276 Share on other sites

Further searches have come up with nothing and I am struggling to find it again, do you have a link to it that I can use at all? Marshal Rohr
4 would look best with Primaris backs and legs. 3 could be cool from the front but wouldn't have that sweet sci-fi/steampunk underlayer.
