Shinkosh
Hello Xenos! Quick question for my greenskin colleagues, a bit of a rule conundrum I was hoping to get your thoughts on. Dakka dakka dakka states that on a natural roll of a 6, you get another shot - Simple so far. What happens if your are using a kombi-rokkit? Say you pop off your shoota attacks and score a few hits. Can you elect to spend them on extra rokkit shots? This whole question has arisen after it was noticed in my group that on a particular tactic page elsewhere on the internets it pointed out that the rule states "grants an additional shot with the same weapon" (not profile). The Kombi-Rokkit thingy is the weapon, it just happens to have multiple profiles. Over to you, Greenskins. .Torch.
I think the RAI is pretty obvious here. It would be with the same profile. I think any other interpretation sounds a bit WAAC. It will probably be FAQ'd when GW get around to it. toaae
Dakka Dakka Dakka is worded the same as the Goff's trait (additional hit roll), so I would expect the FAQ question about Goff Gorkanauts to apply the same reasoning here. IE, has to be made with the same profile. The rule is very specific. The "internets" having the iq of a half eaten squig and less attention span should read the entire rule and not just the parts they like. "Any additional hit rolls use the same characteristics as the hit roll that generated the additional hit roll." "Any additional hit rolls use the same characteristics as the hit roll that generated the additional hit roll." I pointed out the sound logic why it doesn't get to switch profiles above, but I just can't help but enjoy the irony. The full sentence: "When firing a weapon with randomly determined characteristics (e.g. a bubblechukka), any additional hit rolls use the same characteristics as the hit roll that generated the additional hit roll." Bit of a stretch to apply a sentence about random profiles to other weapons Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/352101-dakka-dakka-dakka-using-it-to-fire-different-profiles/#findComment-5206775 Share on other sites
