Hey guys, just rolling ideas round in my head for a full company I'd eventually like to build for my World Eaters. An armoured spearhead, drop pod heavy but without using Orbital Assault ROW (cause Berzerker Assault is just too good). I'm more concerned with fluffy, but it'd be nice if its at least slightly competitive. No points limit here, just planning head, full FOC

Thoughts? Ideas on weapons loadouts for Termies etc much appreciated :-)

Which drop pod does the Tac Support Squad embark upon ?

From reading the list you're short one pod for them ?

So for the list to work (5 pods, dropping 3 first turn, since I guess this is what you aim for) you'd need to free up one FA slot and purchase another Anvillus ?

Damn, I missed that, forgot you can only take pods as dedicated transports in orbital assault. I really wanna keep the lightning or Xiphon... Mainly for AT, which WE can sometimes struggle with. But yes, wanted the five pods so three drop on first turn. Maybe keep the flyer in there, but put the contemptor in a dread drop pod? And tac support squad in a rhino

I would think about changing the lightning claws on the assault seargents to power fists. It would give them a chance against dreads and similar units and that amount of WE shouldn't have problems with 3+ armour.

Fair enough, I just love the look of lightning claws, especially on MK II assault marines. But fist is smarter. And yes, that many WE with Berzerker assault = bucket loads of dice, with rerolls too

you could ditch the command squad and put the support squad in their anvillus?

i'd be a shame (aesthetically and fluffwise) to have just 1 rhino pottering along when you've got all those drop pod, fliers, bikes etc, it would also be a nice way to get them close to some key targets

it really depends which units you're keen on keeping :)

Read my mind actually mate. Anvillus can take the support squad, and yes, drop close to something key, and command squad can take Land Raider as dedicated transport. It's no Spartan, but it's still a nice big tank :-)
