TheEntireMac
Greetings!!! Quick question. Would all Tactical Marines be considered Veterans now that Primaris are in the mix? Aka White helmets? I'm only going to have 1 tactical squad in my new list (Space Marine Heroes Set) so I'm just wondering if fluffwise I leave them yellow or paint em white. Thanks in advance!!! Jukkiz
Primaris can be veterans now too since indomitus crusade was about 100 years, you can paint them with white helmets too. Dusktiger
Thanks in advance!!! tactical marines are still normal battleline troops, so only the sergeant would wear a helmet that isn't your armour color. So if playing the squad as a tactical marine squad, then they shouldn't have any white helmets. They'll still have tactical marines as young fresh troops, and not veterans. You can think of it fluffwise that either the squad was formed before the primaris forces arrived and haven't had an opportunity to be inducted into the 1st company as veterans, as that only happens when there's an opening in the 1st company, or, that they are promoted scouts who were not able to be converted into primaris units because they were physically/genetically incompatible. there is even fluff precedence in a Crimson Fists novel of this, in Rynn's World, where man who was given the chapter's gene seed had his body reject the alterations, thus making him incapable of becoming an astartes. So there's a logical chance that some novitiates will be able to become an Astartes, but their body would not handle becoming the more advanced Primaris due to the additional changes they undergo.
