Ratlings and Deployment

Query: Ratlings deploy after everything else, friend and foe, do I automatically lose deployment or do they not count as drops?

Personally I would say after both armies are fully deployed but before the first turn begins - so not drops.

The rule just has then deploy after all other units are deployed, so it isn’t during first turn.

I believe that they are deployed after scout movements are done. I don't really use ratlings, so I'm not too sure.

I think they have to deploy using "pick the best spot" or whatever their rule is called and then placed after both armies are done but before first turn begins. Like deep strike abilities, it still takes a "drop" to do whatever the unit is doing.

Well as i read it you still deploy them during the Deployment Phase but after every other one is set up.

So yes i would say they count as Drops

I’d say they count like deep strike units. Say they’re a unit that takes a turn to deploy, but waiting till the end doesn’t count towards being last.

 

I’d say they happen before a scout move too.

The way I read / play it they don't count as drops. The armies deploy as normal THEN the ratlings go down. 9/10 times the guard still out deploy the opponent anyways... eldar rangers basically do the same thing.
