Talonmaster Discount(?)

So prior to Chapter Approved, the difference in cost between a stripped Talonmaster and a stripped (Primaris Lt+Speeder) was only 17 points

 

Before weapons.

 

Talonmaster + 17pts = cost of Primaris Lt + cost of Speeder.

 

Well now after CA, the speeder is much less. Should GW consider a discount for the Talonmaster as well?

From what I've read the regular independent has been criminally overcosted, where as the gallbladder has made appearances in competitive play. So the land speeder was off badly, and just because they change it doesn't mean the much better similar units need the changes too.

Both Sableclaw and Talonmaster are REALLY good as force multipliers for Ravenwing.

In addition to that, they are solid enough on their own that players bring them even without other Ravenwing units.

 

GW is taking a number of their cues from the Adeptacon crowd, so units that performed poorly or were missing from the rosters received a points drop.

 

So because Sableclaw and Talonmaster show up in Adeptacon lists and performed well, GW isn't likely to make any adjustments to them.

Sammael (both speeder and bike) is very very very overcosted,  just compare him with a Custodes Biker Captain. Both has very similar stats and buffs to the army but the different between them is about 70 points... that's insane and have no sense. And the same apply to Talonmaster (almost 30 points more for much poor stats).

 

Is everybody using Sableclaw and Talonmaster? Yes, but the reason is that there is no better option. That doesn't make that option good, just the "only". Sammael (both Corvex and Sableclaw) and Talonmaster NEEDS an important points drop.
