Starting an Yme Loc craftworld army

Basically as the title says, I would like to run a fluffy army but not too sure how to do that as I'm very new to craftworlds. I like the Yme Loc scheme and I think their fluff is cool with a lot to build on. So far I have the eldar half of wake the dead, a start collecting, 6 howling banshees, 50 guardians, 2 extra warwalkers and an extra wave serpent as well as an old limited edition eldar autarch ( I managed to nab it all from eBay at basically steals with the only thing needing to be stripped being the howling banshees, everything else needs to be built) so I have a decent sized list already

Which craftworld would people suggest? Obviously Ulthwé and the -1 to hit one are the strongest from what I understand. I haven't gotten my hands on the codex yet so I'm not sure what the other traits are, but are there any suggestions? Ulthwé kind of makes sense for a more tech and forging focused craftworld, better armour and materials has a better chance of saving you.

Any suggestions are much appreciated, I'll post the test minis when I get home

If you are wanting to go full on Yme Loc *then you should look no further than a lot (as in lots) of Dark Reapers, Morgan Ra and use Alaitoc craftworld rules....

Reason: Morgan Ra is the one who pulled Yme Loc out of the Eye of Terror and they are a stand offish craftworld distrusted by all other craftworlders so would walk the path of the destroyer more.  And if you are digging in with long raged guys who shoot every one on 3s regardless of modifiers then you might as well go for the minus 1 to being hit....

edit - it would help if get the right minor craftworlds round the right way wouldnt it!!!!!

@Slasher, I think you're thinking of Altansar. :biggrin.: AFAIK, Yme-loc is the Orange/Grey Craftworld which emphasizes the use of Engines of Vaul (Vehicles/Titans/etc).

@TrawlingCleaner, when I was considering painting my Eldar in the Yme-loc scheme, I thought that the Ulthwé 6+ fnp rules fit, in that (like you say) they had master-artificed wargear and vehicles, which were more survivable as a result. Considering Yme-Loc is not a Wraith-heavy or Aspect-heavy Craftworld, I would think Iyanden and Biel-Tann would make less sense, leaving only Saim-Hann as a potential option.

Is the Iyanden not the one that doubles the effective wounds charactistic on vehicles? If it is then it's a toss up between that and the Ulthwé for me, as making vehicles essentially tougher and better for longer makes sense to me for an essentially "techy" craftworld

Also I'm looking at the stats for prince Yriel and he kinda sucks? Like is there something I'm missing here? The spear seems kind of cool but it's basically just a singing spear with AP right? The eye of wrath is very situational I guess and he's just more expensive than a standard autarch. Am I missing something here?

Haha, whoops. It's only a minor craftworld so it's easy to mix up

Lol good point, guess that would tie in to the Yme-Loc theme pretty well.
