Breachers in 40k

Hey guys I am about to start collecting an Imperial Fists army. I haven't collected anything since 5th edition. But I saw the fireworks breacher siege squad and the phalanx warder squads and absolutely adore the models. Is there anyway of fielding them as a proxy for something in 40k

Thanks in advance.

Forgeworld used to make rules for Siege Mantlets (A sort of version of breacher shields) but I am not sure if there are any for 8th Edition. There is no direct analogue unit for breachers (yet), but what you could do, is use the shields for Vanguard veterans armed with storm shields or combat shields (I forget which one they get, i work with a german codex...). For that, however, you'd have to replace the bolter with hammers (Or proxy the phalanx warder axes for hammers I guess).

Hope that helps :)

In case you're thinking the Storm Shields come as a pair with hammers, that's wrong. You can mix the shields with Bolter or any melee weapon just fine and if you take Company Veterans instead even with special ranged weapons. ;)
