Go right ahead, I would love to see what you do with the idea. As for the shininess, this forgeworld clearly has the secret of the self cleaning anti-stick coating that it blesses all its stuff with .

I am not even joking that much. I must have done something wrong when I undercoated the macrocarid and three medusas because all of the paints keep on pooling and contracting on it. I have had to do many many thin layers of everything for it to properly work. I am sure the blue body work is six or more layers deep in places and that is a dark base paint that should have no problem (and indeed never has had a problem elsewhere) in giving a clean solid colour in two coats.

Also nice work on the Praevian, does he have any Automata to command?

Richmarine, I have to echo the chorus, that blue is stunning! Also the MkII lightness/thinness compared to the MkIII bulk (while otherwise being very similar) feels fitting for a unit of Assault Marines.

I have finished the Three Medusa Siege Tanks and declare my Vow complete, phew, just in time.

@Trokair, congrats on your completed vow, brother! Sweet looking Medusas. Whatever Teflon troubles you may have had , the paint job looks impeccable. My Praevian is just now preparing to induct the first automata. They are currently in build and prime stage awaiting ETL. I may even end up with a few carrying the colors of my Solar Auxilia force. And then, of course, there is the Ordo Reductor portion of this seige force...

Wow, theres some amazingly painted and converted miniatures on here. Well done everyone, I'm a little bit in awe! I've been a long time collector but only recently started painting so I'm taking much inspiration from you guys!

For me, I'm declaring my vow complete. Assault squad and two demios pattern whirlwind scorpius' done!

I'm afraid I got distracted with bashing the new CSM kit and Shadowspear stuff into Night Lords - couldn't resist shiny new toys!!

 

I'd finished the EC stuff more or less a month ago, just procrastinated doing the tank tracks as I hated doing the Land Raider treads! I'll hopefully get a shot of completed work when I can next call in at a GW!!

 

I actually batch painted 2 other Rhinos and converted a master of signal too not to mention 15 mk2 marines - my pink stage is so involved I like to do as much as I can - alas I find it difficult to stick to one thing! The lack of transfers for EC at the moment really limits me, particularly with infantry

im honestly thinking of stripping them and restarting them. I know i am going to change them to bolter marines as the shields just wont stay on so il have to figure that out as a different issue, im going to take a break from marines in general and try and get through some of the huge mess under my desk.

THE FOURTH LOYALTY & TREACHERY EVENT IS OFFICIALLY OVER!

 

 

This year we had 36 participants, and continued the honoured tradition of Loyalists vs. Traitors! The Traitors were again outnumbered with 14 vs. 22 but the tenacity of the followers of the Dark Gods had 6 Centurions vs. just 7 from the Loyalists... So this year Moral High Ground goes again to the Loyalists but only by the slightest of margins! 

 

 

It has to be said that participation this year was roughly half that of two years ago... I guess these two years have not been kind for the setting with the passing of Alan Bligh, the lack of new Black Book releases and the sparse miniature releases. However the future looks brighter. A new book covering the BAs, WSs and tons of Daemons is out already and some new minis hit the shelves, so maybe momentum will be re-build... And the ETL is approaching.

 

And now the time we all were waiting for: Awarding the titles! 

 

Each member that has completed the various tasks of the L&T can claim a relevant title. What can each one claim is shown in the first page next to the participants name. If you don't see a title you expected to see next to your name feel free to take the appropriate badge from below regardless. Then let me know and I will make the necessary adjustments.

Thank you Semper for running yet another great event.

 

While the numbers might be less then they where, and 30k has certainly suffered, it is still great to see so many participants, and the great work both here and by our fellow fraters in the Titan thread with all their Titans and Knights en mass.

 

Let hope for another great event next year (or in two if going by the patter from the last one) where we can all try to better ourselves, and if need redeem any failed oaths.

I personally think 30k is at an inflection point and more good things will come our way soon! Malevolence would re-spark interest and another Black Book with the DAs will hopefully follow... we'll see.

I should have posted this before but thanks for running the event Captain Semper. It certainly got my backside into gear and got me some units done. Not participated in an ETL event before so I'm looking forward to the 2019's one!
