DerSchlankeMann
I'm planning on painting some Iron Warriors using Stynylrez metal primer. I wasn't sure if I needed to then cover it with another color? If so, could someone recommend a good Minitaire color? I've been itching to try them on a new project, and am not sure which one to use, if any - waffling between Gun Alloy and Charred Stone, but would love some suggestions. Thanks all! Tyberos the Red Wake
IF this is the same as the regular Stynlyrez and is just a metallic silver color, then yes, it's an amazing primer, the best acrylic one on the market IMO (Vallejo is like 99% the same, but takes longer to dry and cure and sands slightly worse), and you can use it as a base color if you'd like. The only problem is you'd have to use the same bottle to touch up mistakes and to mix colors, and I'm not sure how comfortable you are with that or if it's a good idea to mix a primer into other colors and use them as layers. Minitaire is also high quality but I've never used it. I use the grey Stynlyrez and it's fantastic.
