Indefragable
Hi all, Quick question: How compatible are the FW weapon upgrades (A) for the "standard" GW Contemptor kit, the standalone one/one from Betrayal at Calth (B) as opposed to the FW resin ones ©? Viridia
The GW kit doesn't have the shoulders as seperate from the arms themselves, which means you'd need to do at least a little working with a scalpel/saw to cut the MM/AC off to allow you to replace them with the Forgeworld weapons. Slips
If you want the absolute maximum parts compatibility and poseability with the least amount of cutting and modifying of the base mini, then the Resin Dread is the one you want (helps that its also available in the varions Legion Variants). Otherwise, its as Viridia says, the GW Contemptor arms are essentially a single, unposeable piece at its baseline. You'd have to saw of the weapon at basically the Shoulder/Elbow and modify the join area a bit on either the plastic arm or the resin weapon so that they can go together in a smooth way. You can see it in the sprue image for the GW Contemptor: Now, if you look at the Resin Multimelta, you can see that it would join in right below the Ballsocketed shoulderpad part of the Dreads arm: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353246-qq-about-the-gw-contemptor-kit/#findComment-5238175 Share on other sites

Thanks, both of your. I had gathered as much intel as I could, but wanted to triple-confirm before spending FW prices on anything. Thank again!
