BLACK BLΠFLY
If you destroy the last enemy unit in melee and there are no other enemy units left can you consolidate in any direction ? Jolemai
You consolidate towards the nearest unit. If there's no enemy units remaining then you've tables your opponent and the game ends. Panzer
Always towards the nearest unit unless you have a rule that says otherwise. Also keep in mind that only the unit you activated can consolidate. So if you have two units in melee with an opponent and destroy it with the first unit only the first unit can consolidate but not the second because you can't activate it anymore. If there's no enemy units remaining then you've tables your opponent and the game ends. Or all remaining enemy units are in reserves. In that case you can't consolidate in any direction and your opponent better bring his reserves in if he doesn't want to be tabled. :P Also not every mission ends with the enemy getting tabled. The new CA18 missions continue for their full amount of turns even if one of the player got tabled. Slasher956
So if there are no more enemy units on the table you cant move? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353270-consolidation-query/#findComment-5239369 Share on other sites
Tyriks
So if there are no more enemy units on the table you cant move? You can move just fine. But consolidate specifies you have to move closer to the nearest enemy unit, which you can't do if there is no enemy unit. If both units charged the second unit would still get to activate in the fight phase but otherwise spot on. I keep forgetting that you can always activate a unit that charged this turn regardless of whether there's an opponent within 1" or not (only if the charge succeeded tho!).
