War Angel
Has anyone used any of it? I'm thinking about getting the board and some of the terrain and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions, tips, or feedback on the line. I'm also wanting to get some of the fortifications GW came out with a few years ago, and I'm wondering if it fits well with the board. Along that line, are there any items you would suggest as a must buy? Thanks for the help. RikuEru
Does your local/nearest GW Shop have a good manager - someone you trust? Because ours made sure my pal got 6 (later 8) Sector Imperialis boards that were flat (after ldtting them settle at home, with some books on each of them). Those that were too warped and shakey he sent back to HQ. Also he got us a dozen or more extra of the clips yoi can use to connect the boards. For painting them (and the old building models) my pal used Duncan's Videos. He is a perfectionist and does everything by the book, but they actually gave some nice ideas on how to do things and what colours/how much of them you would need. Old Sector Imperialis buildings fit very well. Newer ones probably too. Fortifications and the like CAN fit, tho they were made for flat surfaces - and of course, due to the details, the sector imperialis boards aren't flat, with raised areas here and there. War Angel
I trust my store owner, is it a big issue for them to be warped? (Common?) I've been trying to find whatever videos there are and use that to help, but it seems the new buildings are all pillared and marble, and his video on the table paints the sidewalks for the old stuff. Kinda mad I can't get the old buildings. Imren
Make sure you varnish the board tiles a few times with hours in between, otherwise you will have some wear on the protruding parts were grey plastic will eventually show.
