Sgt.Rob
Hey guys, looking for critiques on this before I finish it. Tell me what you think. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353335-space-wolf-vs-chaos-art/ Share on other sites
Cpt_Reaper
Very well done. My only critique would be the Space Wolf's shoulder pads seem at a really odd angle for how wide the torso is. Bjorn Firewalker
I like the character designs, but the Marines' poses aren't appropriate, in my opinion. It's okay for them to stand like that if they aren't mortal enemies, e.g., the painting depicts a Space Wolf and a Dark Angel, about to fight an honor duel; or if there's a great distance between them, meaning they cannot immediately begin fighting each other. At the distance depicted in the painting, both Marines should be charging towards the other, blades raised for a slash or drawn back for a thrust. Bjorn Firewalker
Suggestion: Add a fallen pillar between the Space Wolf and the Black Legionnaire. That would justify the two's relatively relaxed poses: They WERE fighting a duel to the death, but a pillar fell between them during the fight, and they cannot resume fighting until they get around the obstacle. (Climb over the pillar? Only if they want to be pop-up targets, unable to duck under the gunfire their opponent will send their way while they're climbing.)
