Brother Sergeant Scarus
Hello everyone, Apologies if this has already been resolved but I cannot find anything via searching. I'm quite new to 8th, having had a 2 edition hiatus, and I'm wondering how Sergeant Chronus and the Character rule interacts with the Victrix Honour Guard. Does Chronus count as a character whilst in his tank? If so, this means that the Honour Guard can act as ablative wounds for him via their "Honour Guards of Macragge" special rule? Many thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353485-sergeant-chronus-and-victrix-honour-guard/ Share on other sites
Ishagu
He's not a character whilst he's in the tank. It simply has a BS of 2+ that cannot be modified. He's like a passanger that only disembarks when the vehicle is destroyed providing he is not slain or unable to do so. You can't try to pull off shenanigans like having him in a Landraider with some Honor Guard obscured behind it that tank the biggest hits. Brother Sergeant Scarus
Hi Ishagu, Thanks for confirming - I did wonder if it was similar to an ogryn bodyguard/tank commander situation; thank you for clarifying!
