Gloomfoe Posted February 1, 2019 Share Posted February 1, 2019 Maybe a stupid question to ask so close to the gsc codex release,buuut...when taking an astra militarum detachment alongside a gsc detachment, you replace all <regiment> keywords with brood brothers, so you can't use regiment rules and you also can't give orders correct? But you can still take a company commander and build your Guard detachment as normal, just ignoring all regiment abilities? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Toxichobbit Posted February 1, 2019 Share Posted February 1, 2019 In the Index all that happens when taking a Brood Brothers detachment is that you change the Regiment keyword to Brood Brothers, so anything that works off of the Regiment keyword stops working. Orders aren't affected, unless they are Regiment specific. Aside from that, yes, you just build you Guard detachment as normal (though no special characters). Best wait until the Codex reviews start coming out and we have the up to date wording. At the moment we're going off vague Warhammer Community articles and paraphrased leaks.
