Hear da Lamentation
I’ve not played for quite a while. I usually play against the Nids. As such (with my friends play style being heavy shooting and deep striking from reserve) speed bumps were essential and for that I always used vanilla scouts so I could put them right up the centre of the board. Now the codex is out does that prevent me using vanilla marine scouts? Obviously ours can only come in from the sides which is no use as a speed bump...: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353590-no-more-scout-speed-bump/ Share on other sites
Nadir
Yup. Only SW scouts, unless you have an additional vanilla detachment. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353590-no-more-scout-speed-bump/#findComment-5247871 Share on other sites
Rune Priest Jbickb
Not really. You can always add a detachment of marines of your flavor of choice or they still all share the adeptus astartes keyword and can be included in detachments together but no one will get chapter traits in that detachment. So it basically exactly how it worked pre codex Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353590-no-more-scout-speed-bump/#findComment-5247875 Share on other sites
