Horus Heresy Weekender Knights Errant Necromunda Game

For those of you that attended the recent weekender and participated in the Knights Errant game that used Necromunda rules, can you tell us how that went?

Was the scenario/mission fun? How did you do? How did GW/FW run it? Was it just a pick up demo style of game thing? Or was there some sort of competition going on where records were kept and the outcome meant something in the end?

Do you remember any of the rules, especially those for the models and weapons/wargear that aren't in the Necromunda game?

Did it seem like GW/FW were testing the waters with possibly using the Necromunda rules in a squad-level skirmish game set in the Age of Darkness?

they specifically said they dont intend to do any official with it, it was just a fun thing to make including necromunda in the event feel more relevant to people that were only there for horus heresy.

the rules are in the brochure thing we got, so i can take pictures and put them somewhere later if you want.

That's unfortunate. It might be a good homegrown rules project - though could be either Necromunda or Kill Team (I think there are a number of external community efforts in this vein).

Yes, please.

Would have thought someone would have uploaded a version before now - but here you go

I didn't go to it - I was a bit wiped from travelling, queuing, and quite frankly I was enjoying the hotel buffet with some friends a bit too much.

The bottom left corner of the first page is a bit blurry. Here's what I think it says (please correct me if I'm wrong):

DEPLOYMENT
The Warmaster's Forces player deploys their Sentries anywhere on the board. The Knights-Errant player then places their fighters within 2" of any board edge.

FIRST TURN
The Knights-Errant have Priority in the first round.

SPECIAL RULES: SNEAK ATTACK AND REINFORCEMENTS
This mission uses the rules for Sneak Attacks and Reinforcements (see page 119 of the Necromunda: Rulebook) with the Warmaster's Forces as the defenders. As soon as the alarm is raised all of the Warmaster's Forces reinforcements will arrive in the End phase.

GAME LENGTH
This game lasts for six rounds.

OBJECTIVES
The Knights-Errant must place five futharc runes and survive until the end of round 10 to successfully complete the mission. A Knight-Errant can inscribe a rune by taking the Lay Rune (Double) action. Place a token on the table to show where the rune has been placed. A Knight-Errant player can only place one rune each round, though runes can be placed anywhere provided they are at least 6" from each other.

Hi Brother Tyler - I didn't notice the bottom left wasn't that bad, I'll blame it on trying to get the brochure into the scanner without tearing it apart. I took a new scan and updated page one. Same link as above, new version of the file is v1.1

Did it get taken down ? The previous like k isn't working for me. I'm getting "you do not have permission to do that"

Thanks! Just downloaded the file, the link is working for me.

I found pictures of the scenario taken from a phone on reddit, but on a second look I could not find them again.

Would anyone have any pictures of the game itself ?

Actually, it wasn't working for you yesterday because you checked after m_r_parker edited the file. The edit needed to be approved by a mod/admin before the download would be available again and I happened to be out on a very long walk with my dog at that time. :whistling:

m_r_parker - thanks for the update! :cool.:
